CHAPTER 1- Ichigo was out on a hot date with her crush, Masaya in a museum exhbit. She found nothing interested in anything but her crush, but when Masaya regards that Ichigo shoudn't waste tissue, Minto came along & gave Ichigo a hankercheif. Ichigo also meet Retasu who was bullied, Purin & Zakuro. Soon the 5 girls were injected with a DNA of a endangered animal.The next day in school, Ichigo started do do weird stuff like falling from a balcony & landing on her feet, eating fish, falling asleep in class, etc.. Ichigo was wshe acting weird, but she did not discover the answer until after school, when a rat montser attacked Masaya and then Ryou saving Ichigo & tells her she is a Mew girl. Ichigo suddenly transformed into a Mew girl & destroyed the monster with her "ribon sutoroberii cheshiku" attack. From then on Ichigo became a Mew girl to try to save the world.
CHAPTER 2- Ichigo meets Keiichiro & together with Ryou, they took Ichigo to cafe Mew Mew & explained to her her mission, her allies & "the mew project". After Ryou walked Ichigo back home, but she ran off thinking that Ryou was a jerk. The next day when Ichigo meet her crush, Masaya was walking to Minto's house to return the hankerchief to her, but things unexpected happen to Ichigo as her cat ears & tail keep on popping out, but she manages to hide it from Masaya. When she meet Minto again she supects that Minto might be a Mew girl so she looks for her mark, but fails. Late at night Ichigo goes to the ballet to get a closer look at Minto & she followed Minto to the dressing, but then... gets caught! Minto got really angry with Ichigo so she tells her dog, Mickey to bark Ichigo out. Mickey started to turn into a monster, Ichigo transformed into a Mew girl. Just as Mickey attacked Ichigo, Minto pleaded Mickey to stop, but he ripped the back of Minto's dress which releaved her mark & proof that Minto is a Mew girl. Minto quickly transform & together with Ichigo they attacked the monster & returned Mickey to normal.
CHAPTER 3- Ichigo was with Masaya, but she got too excited so Ryou takes Ichigo away into Cafe Mew Mew to aviod Masaya seeing her cat ears. Ryou gave Ichigo her waitress uniform to change into & Ichigo started to work in the Cafe with Minto. In the middle of work they heard a group of girls talking about a ghost story & a group of girls picking on Retasu. Ichigo recongised Retasu & tired to stop the girls from bullying so she helps Retasu. Minto supects that the ghost story might be connected to a Kirema Anima, so she tells Ichigo to check it out, but Ichigo was so freaked out about ghost. When Cafe Mew Mew closed, Ichigo went into Ryou's room to give him rice balls & ask him for her wages. Just as Ichigo left the Cafe, Minto dragged her to check out the ghost story. As they reached a pool, they saw a girl lying on the ground blaming Reatsu. Ichigo & Minto thought that Retasu might be in danger so they transformed into Mew, but then something dragged Ichigo into the pool. When Ichigo got out of the pool, she was shocked to see Retasu rising above the waters.
CHAPTER 4- Retasu transformed into a Mew which shocked Ichigo & Minto. Retasu then started to attacked Minto, then Ichigo, but Ichigo manage to dodge her attacks. Ichigo notices that Retasu is alone, scared & wants to make more friends, so she pushed Retasu in the pool to play around & explains to her about friendship. The next day at Cafe Mew Mew Retasu was working with Ichigo & Minto, but she struggles as she was so shy, clumsy & broke so many dishes. When the Cafe was closed Ichigo went on another date with Masaya. They went to a zoo & saw a lot of kawaii animals & the one thing which distracted them was Purin with her tricks. Purin startes to request Ichigo for money for her peformance, so Ichigo just gave her candy & walked away from her. As Ichigo went for a drink Purin popped out which surprised Ichigo, so her cat ears & tail popped oiut. Ichigo knew that it was not good in a situation for people seeing her ears, but what was even worse Kisshu jumped in front of her & kissed her.
CHAPTER 5- After the kiss from Kisshu, Kisshu wanted to kiss Ichigo again, but Ichigo refused so he sent out some Kirema Animas. Ichigo kenw she had to protect Purin, but suddenly a lion stepped on her which made Kisshu get closer to her. Minto & Retasu quicklt attacks Kisshu to save Ichigo, then Ichigo transformed into a Mew & together they attack the Kirema Animas. Just when an elephant was about to stomp on Ichigo, Purin pushes her away & put herself into danger, but then... she transformed into a Mew. Purin then quickly traps the monsters with her attack & together with the girls they manage to defeat the monsters.Ichigo began to get really upset about the kiss & she realised that Masaya was looking for her. While the other Mew girls head back to the Cafe, Ichigo found Masaya, however he began to shout at Ichigo because she was wondering off. Ichigo began to think that Masaya really hates her now & she slowly walked & followed Masaya. Masaya saw a cat with a choker & he gave Ichigo a bell choker, which made Ichigo really happy! they started to head back home.
CHAPTER 6- Ichigo was all happy & floaty at school about the bell choker & especially when Masaya noticed it. Later on Ichigo came running late to Cafe Mew Mew & notices Retasu's broken plates & hyper Purin's entertainment. Ichigo got changed into her waitress uniform & started working, but she was so annoyed because Minto was ordering her around. Minto then got out a magazine with Fujiwara Zakuro on it & suspects she was the 5th Mew girl. Ryou & Keiichiro suddenly appears & tells the girls that they should go to Zakuro's audition. After work the girls head up to the audition with their swimming costumes on. Minto was the first girl to face the judges & she walked gracefully, however Ichigo & Retasu were clumsy & then Purin appeared & started performing her tricks. Zakuro siddendly appeared & started to walk gracefully, just like Minto. After the audition Zakuro went inside a large room & the Mew girls followed her, but then some Kirema Animas appeared & at a flash of light, Zakuro identity was revealed as a Mew. Zakuro quickly attacked & destroyed the Kirema Animas, then she de-transformed, The other Mew girls were happy that they found their last partner, however Zakuro would not join them.
CHAPTER 7- At Cafe Mew Mew, the shock of Zakuro not joining them depressed Minto & she became out of her mind. Ryou gives R2000 to Ichigo to help her. Mean while Zakuro was sitting at a cafe bar alone, refusing to sit next to anyone. When work was over, Ichigo was taking a walk with R2000 &she decided to re-name him as Masha, after Masaya. Ichigo then suddenly bumped into Retasu & Puein in front of Minto's house & they decided that they should visit her to cheer her up, but Purin press a button which squirted water on Minto...oops! At night thegirls was still at Minto's house for some snacks, however it turn out to be a pillow fight until Retasu & Purin fell a sleep. Minto walked out to another room to get some blankets & Ichigo realised there was omeone outside, so she took a walk around Minto's front garden. Kisshu appeared & he was about to kiss Ichigo, but Minto distracted him. Kisshu's next plan was to attack Zakuro, so he headed off to the TV station, where Zakuro is currently at The Mew girls kenw they had to help Zakuro, so they went the TV station.
CHAPTER 8- At the TV station the girls were thrown out by a body guard, but with Purin's bright idea of using an incense to make the guard go to sleep, the girls manage to get in.& dress as rabbits to make them selves look as though, they are part of the show. They walked into a room where Zakuro was film her show & there was loads of animals wondering around, which turn out to be Kirema Animas, which attacked Zakuro, but Ichigo quickly transformed & saved her. Kisshu showed up & send out a massive monster. Ichigo & her pals attacked it, however it did not work! The monster started to trap Ichigo & as Kisshu tries to have another attempt of kissing her, Ichigo was saved by Zakuro. Ichigo began to feel a new power inside of her & the Mew girls abilities are coming towards her, which made her strawberry bell power up! Ichigo attacked the monster one more time with her new attack "ribbon strawberry surprise" which destroyed the monster. Just as Ichigo was in re;ief, TV produces started to film the Mew girls & they was on live TV! The producers asked Ichigo who she was & Ichigo said that they are "Tokyo Mew Mew!" After when the Mew girls got ouside, Zakuro made an exception to join them, which made all the Mew girls happy, especially Minto!
CHAPTER 9- The next day at school, everyone was talking about "Tokyo Mew Mew", which kind of put Ichigo off, but she tought that as long as no one knows that she was a Mew girl, then that's fine! Ichigo then saw Masaya & as she follows him, she jumps off a balcony for a short cut, but then lands on top of Masaya! Masaya decided to invite Ichigo to the park since they have not talked to each other for a long time. After school, Ichigo goes to Cafe Mew Mew & notices Zakuro was working too & Purin showed Ichigo the media which they are appearing in & to celebrate the Mew team Keiichiro & Ryou baked a cake for them. Keiichiro & Ryou then showed the girls, information on the "Mew project" & the "mew aqua's" inside the research room. The computer screen in the research room suddenly tells Keiichiro that there is danger in the park, so the girls quickly rushes off to the park. In the park Kisshu attacks Masaya & a little girl, with some smoke that makes plants die & just when the monsters was about to attack them, Mew Ichigo attacks the monsters & saves Masaya. The Mew firls power then combines together to save the trees from dieing. Ichigo was happy that she manage to save from trees from dieing, but as she watches the dead trees, she heard a voice calling her & it was Masaya! Ichigo was shocked & worried that Masaya might have discovered her identity.
CHAPTER 10- Ichigo runs away from Masaya, thinking that he had discovered her identity.The next day at school, Ichigo wanted to give Masaya a good luck charm for his next kendo competition, but all she can do was avoids him! Later in Cafe Mew Mew, Ryou had a converstation with the mew girls on the mew aqua, but Ichigo acted kind of spacey & when the mew girls look up to Ichigo, Ichigo tired her best not to make the girls worry. Mean while 2 more aliens appear called Pai & Taruto. Pai thriwed an enzyme inh a pool next to Ichigo's school. The next day at school, Ichigo still wanted to give Masaya a charm, but she kept on avoiding him, until... Masaya spotted her in a classroom. As Masaya talked to Ichigo, the enzyme started to attack Masaya. Ichigo had no choice but to transform outside the classroom & with her strawberry check attack, the enzyme disappeared. Mew Ichigo thought that Masaya knew the truth & just when she was about to leave, Masaya applogise to her & said that she looked like someone he knew for the reason of calling her Ichigo. Mew Ichigo smiled since Masaya did not discover her identity & ran away. Just in time Ichigo manage to de-transform & gave Masaya the charm.
CHAPTER 11- At Cafe Mew Mew, Ichigo was so freaked out since she had to do all the work. Ryou topld Ichigo to calm down & he took the Mew girls on vacation on a ship. When Ryou & the Mew girls got on the boatr, Ryou gave Ichigo s flippers to dive in the ocean & find a Mew aqua. As Retasu watches Ichigo, Ryou gave her a drink which made her blush! Ichigo could not find any thing in the ocean so she got back on the ship & got ready for the party on the ship is holding. At the party, Keiichiro was playing the piano, Minto was dancing, Purin was eating & Ryou danced with Ichigo. Ichigo started to run away from Ryou as she tries to overcome the fact that she is in love with him. Ryou decided to go out & spots Retasu, but then Pai appears & puttted some enzyme in the ocean which made aliens appear! The girls quickly transformed, but one of the aliens grabbed a baby into the ocean. Reatsu jumps into the ocean & her body changed into a mermaid. Reatsu uses her ribon retasu rush attack on the alien & manage to return the baby to her mother. Keiichiro told the girls to get back to the party & just when Retasu walks down the stairs, she trips over......oops!......
