ANIME - A Japanese cartoon based on the manga. Usually a different person from the manga creates the anime.
DNA - This stands for deoxyribonucleic acid
ENDANGERED - An animal which is in danger of losing its habitat
EXTINCTION - A word use for animals which on longer exist
GENES - From my GCSE science lesson, genes are tiny parts inside our body which shows inheritance. There are 52 genes inside the human body.
HIRAGANA - The Japanese own alphabet letters, which of course is different and nothing like the English alphabet.
KANJI - Chinese letters which Japanese people use. Japanese usually write their name in kanji, however there are some names written in hiragana. e.g. the tMM girls first name is written in hiragana, except for Purin's name. There are approximately 48,000 kanji words in total.
KATAKANA - Some people call it "kana" for short & you may notice that there are some kanji (Chinese words) and English words with Japanese letters above them, that is called kana & it is use to pronuce non-Japanese words.
MANGA - A black & white Japanese comic book with tones and textures. Usually a manga is produced before the anime
MEW AQUA - A rod with power to protect the world. Ryou keeps the Mew aqua's in a little bottle.
ROMANJI - English words used for pronucing Japanese words. Also another  word for romanji is "Romanization" is used when you write out Japanese words into English.
SPECIES - Another word used for animals
TMM - Erm, this is bascailly short for "Tokyo Mew Mew"
