The saint crusaders appear in the second Tokyo Mew Mew arc "a la mode" There are 4 people in this group; Royal Highness/Aizuki Yuuzen, Happy Child/Utamaro, Blue Bayou and Sweet Juliet.

The oldest, a boy, is Yuzen Akizuki. He is 17 and has phychic powers. Sweet Juliet is the girl and is a master of disguise. Blue Bayou is the second oldest boy and is strong. And Utemaro is the littlest boy and has a supersonic voice and powers. Utamaro can transform in to a villian called "Happy Child" Their leader is called "Duke" even though duke is a woman. Duke intends toturn everyone against the Mew Mews, though is trying hardest to get Berii. THe Crusaders send subliminal messages to the public telling them to hate the Mews and kind of turn them into zombies.... and for a while, including Tasuku. In the end of "a la mode" Duke decides to call off the attack when she is touched by Tasuku and Berii's love. (Berii kisses Tasuku to get him out of his "trance", although it's not nearly as good as Masaya and Ichigo's first kiss. Then they hug.) As it turns out, Tasuku promised to give Berii a hug everyday since her mother died when she was 5. Ok, back to the Crusaders. As children they were outcasts because of their freakish powers. Then they all met at the same boarding school where they plotted to blow it up. THen they met the Duke, who at the time was also younger (a teenager I think). She understood their situation and told them that she realised that no one really knew they existed, or cared. Utamaro gets scared and tries to jump out the window. (didn't expect that). But Duke who can (ironically) fly saves him. The group then decides to join Duke. Another controversial matter I've found is the fact that Duke wears a costume that looks EXACTLY like a Ku Klux Klan outfit.
