| It all started in Summer 2005 when I was making comics featuring me and my (then new - I only came onto the Net in March '05) friends, particularly Charlie. They often had him in odd situations like being rolled into a katamari or being pinched in the face by me. He had gotten tired of it and told me one day on AIM to start making comics "of our everyday lives." | ||||||||||
| A few months later, on a nice night in December, the idea hit me while listening to a J-pop song called "LOVEBANG." By then, I had a solid alter-ego (I alternated between first atler-ego Asuka and drawing my real self as a puff) named Katsukki (fullname Katsukki-chan of All Cosmos a la mode), perfected months before. I drew the first cover and the first page then quickly posted them on dA. | ||||||||||
| Normally, this would be the part to say 'And the rest was history" but there's more to it than that. The comic, particularly its outrageous characters, struck a positive chord with my ever-growing fanbase. Since it was an experiment in trying different art styles, in addition to showing the everyday lives of a group of puff people in a city of puffs neighboring Townsville (most of which were based on real people), some were critical about the "lack of plot" (okay, one person complained about that but I'm pretty sure he wasn't the only one). The original series spawned 2 side stories, 2 wallpapers, 2 alternate series (one of which has materialized), and various other ideas that came into my head involving this unique cast of characters. | ||||||||||
