you’re at it, just write to
all of your elected officials
about this
issue too…”File Sharing”
$250,000
fines?! Hold on! You can get away with even murder for
Less than a
quarter million dollars. This is some
sad state of affairs.
Anybody who
is not familiar with this issue should read about it at the EFF
(Electronic
Frontier Foundation)
The Electronic Frontier Foundation,
a civil liberties group for “Digital Rights
and Freedom For All” said…
"Throwing the book at music swappers makes great political theater, but
jailing 60 million music fans is not good business, nor does it put a single

"Jailing people for file sharing is not the answer," said EFF
senior staff attorney Fred von Lohmann. "Proponents of this bill are
casting aside privacy, innovation, and even our personal liberty as collateral
damage in their war against file sharing."
Think about it, why are they not charging 37 cents for every email? Is
it that every email you send we are stealing 37 cents from the post office.
Gee, that adds up to billions of dollars per minute. Why is file sharing
any different. What is the difference of recording a song on a tape, or
CD.? What will happen when they make virtually everything a crime,
including smoking too?

Electronic Frontier
Foundation - Digital Rights & Freedom For All
If America's
founding fathers had anticipated the digital frontier, there would be a clause
in the Constitution protecting your rights online, as well. Instead, a modern
group of freedom fighters was necessary to extend the original vision into the
digital world. That's where the Electronic Frontier Foundation comes in.
