Getting Audrey's clothing look is a simple part of the process of getting Audrey-fied. Just pick one of her movies, and find a dress that is similar to your inspiration. Good places to look are websites for formal wear, as well as those prom magazines that become unnumerable in prom season. To get you started, I chose the Breakfast at Tiffany's little black dress. You can modify, and perhaps get inspired by Roman Holiday or Sabrina, or even My Fair Lady. But remember, no matter how much the dress looks like Audrey, make sure it fits you properly, too. Also, remember that just because a dress is from the right time period does not mean that Audrey would have worn it. I have included an image of a design that was popular during her era but definitely not suited to her. Once you get the clothes, you'll be ready to get hair and makeup a la Audrey.

When dressing for Breakfast at Tiffany's:
-Remember to wear black! It's a goof-proof tone that accentuates all of your assets
-keep the lines simple. Too many frills will distract the eye, and minimize the "Audrey effect".
-wear an ankle length gown. with simple but elegant mid-heeled shoes.
-sleeveless dresses maximize your Audrey look. If you are self-conscious about your arms, just ge a black sheer wrap to drape around you.
-wear black, satin, opera-length gloves
-play up the simplicity of the dress by contrasting it with a fabulous necklace.
-get a crystal necklace, that is wide but not overpowering.
-if crystals aren't your style, just wear a simple set of pearls. The pearls should be small- to medium-sized, and about 18 inches long.
-for extra glamour, wear a crystal or pearl cuff bracelet over the gloves.
-give the look a royal touch with a simple glam tiara
-strike a pose, honey! Audrey would be proud!

A Final Word--this dress was from Audrey's time, but believe me, this is not her style. It took a woman with an awesome body to wear this dress. It simply doesn't suit Audrey's petite beauty.
