Mission Accomplished!
Ice Snakes - Diamondbacks Win
18th Annual Super Series 2000!
The Ice Snakes Hockey Development Program succeeds in defending their "Mission Hockey & N.A.S.H. Super Series 2000" MIDGET DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP title by defeating the North Shore Mountain Lions 6 - 2 in the Championship Final at the Great Pacific Forum.
The D-Backs had a 5 - 0 lead after the first period and never looked back. The Snakes struck early and often as they scored on the first shift and never let the Mountain Lions into the game during the first couple of minutes. The Snakes continued to pressure the Lions and if not for the great goaltending of "Tournament M.V.P. Goalie" - Beau WALSH the score could very well have been double what it was.
The North Shore Lions went through the Double Round Robin portion of the week undefeated (5-0-1) to earn First Place and the Ice Snakes - Diamondbacks placed Second (3-2-1) to qualify for the Championship Final. The Ice Snakes - Sidewinders placed Third (2-4-0) and the Cyclone All Stars Fourth (1-5-0).

Well things are coming together
for the Super Series Tourney which is now less than a week away.
However, we still do not have a full list of confirmed players as yet.
One thing is for certain and that is that there will be at least two teams
representing the Ice
Snakes Hockey Development Program and 2
PTS. HOCKEY in this years "N.A.S.H. Super Series Tournament".
These two teams will be called the DIAMONDBACKS
and the SIDEWINDERS.
The Player Rosters will not be announced until Saturday July 8, 2000 \at
the INTRA SQUAD GAME (5:00PM @ G.P.F.) to insure that we make each team
as equally balanced as possible. So be sure to check back next weekend
for the updated Rosters. The Skills Competition competitors will
also be announced at that time. They will be picked based on the
players willingness to partake in the skills competition and their preference
list of skills they and other players wish to participate in. Preferencewill
be given to players who have attended the practice sessions and filled
out the necessary forms correctly.

Looks like things are shaping up real well for this year's Super Series Tournament. The Snakes look hungry again this year with lots of new players coming to the program. It appears that the Snakes will be putting no less than two teams into the Midget Division @ the Super Series Tourney in July (9 - 15) in hopes of defending the Midget Divison Championship successfully.
The Ice Snakes get under way this
Friday, June 9th @ 8:00pm with the registration & sign up for
all players wishing to participate in this years Super Series Tourney for
1982 & 83 birthdates. Registration is upstairs to the left of
the restaurant in the Multi-purpose room. Players are on ice at 9:15pm.
