COCONUT POUND CAKE * Mama got this recipe from her Aunt Lucille 2 STKS. BUTTER 1/2 CUP CRISCO 3 CUPS SUGAR 5 EGGS 3 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR 1/2 TSP. BAKING POWDER 1 CUP MILK 1 CAN ANGEL FLAKE COCONUT 1 TSP. VANILLA OR IMITATION COCONUT FLAVORING 1) CREAM BUTTER, CRISCO AND SUGAR WELL. ADD EGGS, ONE AT A TIME BEATING WELL AFTER EACH EGG. ADD FLOUR AND BAKING POWDER ALTERNATELY WITH MILK. LASTLY, ADD COCONUT AND FLAVORING. 2) BAKE IN A WELL GREASED TUBE PAN FOR 1 HOUR AND 20 MIN. OR UNTIL DONE WHEN TESTED. COOL 25 MIN. BEFORE REMOVING FROM PAN.
