Everlee Vale is three small towns enclosed by mountains on three sides and an uninviting forest on the fourth. the map is available on the mailing list webpage: PandoraGames or at the bottom of this page. This document will further detail the locations and people that can be found in Everlee, as well as some that can't be found. This file contains only the most basic information as quick reference for the PC's and will be updated as the campaign progresses.
currently, the only race allowed is human. most importantly are the towns which the PC's will be from. all three are farming communities with little outside threat except Xanthritalt. Xanthritalt is a massive dragon rumored to live deep within Angelblood Range. he wouldn't be known by any other than the elders except for the "harvest" he demands every five years. fifteen young adults (15 years of age), 3 males and 12 virgin females, are taken to Angelblood Cave and examined by Filbert, the dragon's human assistant, and never seen after that. in return, Xanthritalt promises the safety of all within the valley. the people of Everlee have grown stagnant and are afraid to leave... they have generally just accepted this as a way of life for the past 40 years. laws have declared that all females remain virgin until the age of 16, punishable by death, and the rape of any female under the age of 16 to be punishable by death of both violator and family. all laws are issued by the Lord (currently Lord Dentra) and enforced by the Shire Reeve and town deputies. Coalton - supports coal and copper mines for the vale and a silver mine for the Lord's treasury. veins of tin have been found in both the coal and copper mines in addition to a long vein due east of Coalton. the "Coal Masks", a gang of thieves, has recently become known in Coalton, blamed for a series of recent crimes.
personalities of Coalton include:
Ryme - best known for "the Only Vine", a tavern run by Kirtan, and for the many pleasures of his tavern, including "the Green Drink", best ale found in Everlee, and the beautiful serving wenches that are available to any man that can slip Kirtan a gold coin. (of course, the girls expect to receive something, also.)
personalities of Ryme include:
Pierce - the altar to Cammist is centered in a very lavish garden tended by Hikam, where his wife and acolyte also reside for most of the year, tending the garden when he's not asked to bless someone's field or perform miracles for the barren or sick. all miracles and blessings require a donation of time (if he needs anyone to help with the garden) or money. service is usually for up to three years, depending on the miracle he is asked to perform.
