Sentinels of the day hold me deep,
A million whispered dreams,
twisted to nightmares by my simple mind.

How many thousand thoughts,
Oh what darkness brings solid in my soul.

Have you no compassion oh night?
For my soul seeks solice in your subtle embrace.

Take me free from this hellish mortality.
And break now the binds that would hold me to this prison.

Like a lover you come
with every simple sunfall
your hands seek to hold me to suckle the night
like a babe in arms.

And yet I sit here awaiting your love
Like a scolded child let to face this world alone.
