FALLEN ANGEL

Come to me oh fallen angel.
Walk with me upon the earth.
I shall comfort thee and hold you near.
I will steady your stride and hold your heart.

I know the pain of falling so far.
I have walked this world for ages.
My wings were broken by the laws of man.
And my heart sundered with love and worse.

But if you feel the need to weep.
And you cannot council with anyone.
Call on my oh fallen angel.
And I will let your soul rip free and scream.

I have sat on high and judged all.
I have wallowed in the muck and begged.
And now here I sit with you in my arms.
Hoping I have enough hope so you can take.

And if you see me for the fool I was.
And the world should end so suddenly.
I could give no greater gift to you.
The truth, the wisdom, to fly again.

I give you now these tattered wings.
So soiled with pride and honor.
Use them now and fly away.
And hurt no longer from this pain.

And as you glide among the clouds.
Looking down upon me.
Know this dear angel.
I was once one ... Of thee.
