| We look out upon the sun-drenched fields and sigh with vast lament At night while the moon is high we speak our heart�s yearning in a wish Alone in this place we wish for another to carry back the light An affectionate embrace to shield us from the icy bitterness of the world Eternal hopes and dreams fill our souls as we watch others enjoy life A blackness of evil thoughts and feelings clouds our vision as we weep Black holes appear within the spirit as we lose more of ourselves to lies Reality blurs and becomes fantasy time and again when no prayer is answered Demons filter into the mind as the days drag on to endless night Anger and frustration fill our words as we deal while seconds tick away If we could only be complete in the touch of one who knew our hearts No lustful nights would be needed if just a moment were spared for love What do we seek when peering in to this bottomless void once called a soul Could this hole within us all be filled with the understanding of another Until the answers come we shall forever wait in the shadowy corners of the world Wishing and eager for that ethereal luminosity that only the truth can bring |
