First Rabbit You ever owned?:A Castor Mini Rex doe when I was 8,I got her at a pet store because of of my baby chickens had just died and dad thought it would be a good idea. We had to give her away when we moved to a smaller house,she died a few months ago,now we moved to a huge place and have LOTS of room for rabbits.(RIP Sabrina)

First Dutch?:My Sr tort doe,CG64 named Snickers,I got her from a church camp in August,no pedigree or anything but the moment I layed eyes on her and her siblings + mom&dad,I fell in love,not only because they were dutch and adorable, but because they were Tort and I had heard that Torts were kind of hard to get.We bought her for $10, She has now won me many flat ribbons,not placing below 3rd place, and on 3/19/2005 she got her first 1st places...BOV and BOSB!! yay!(for the youth show)

First Mini Lop?:My Brk Black Buck named VT Cranberry aka Pilgrim 'cause he was born on Thanksgiving of 2004... He's very sweet and at his first show ever,3/19/05,(for the youth show) He got BOV...even though he was the only one in his class... and BOB..he beat a Solid SR Buck!! Wooo!! And at the BIS table the rabbit next to him won BIS...Hope some good luck rubbed off on him! I plan to use him for stud because of his excellent type and personality,and show him for fun and hopefully register him and get him GC!

How about the Rabbitry?: We moved into our farm(16 acres!)in June 2004, and started rabbits in August. Currently we keep all the rabbits(including my moms rabbits and my "pet rabbits"(3 mix breed SR.s and 11 of their offspring/grandchildren which i plan to sell soon...)....On our back porch in various spots,some live in the condo,some live in our home made cages,some live in their cages on the shelf,or the big table etc. We have a roof and walls surrounding them so they will stay dry and warm.

Other family members have rabbits?": Yes,my mom has a seperate rabbitry, Dutch Kountry Rabbits,but we keep our rabbits all on the back porch. My dad has some favorites from both of our rabbitrys but he doesnt show or breed..he just buys the feed and cages and water bottles and crocks etc etc. and admires our gorgeous rabbits :)
