Roll up and ride on Rosie -- |
|
|
Roll up and ride on Rosie is one of the earliest recordings and was recorded before most of the action took place. The album was put together later. It is made by the incomparable Choblert & Skag team. The same team responsible for the Jones bi-monthly comic book. The album itself is an impolite view on life and it's human conventions and pop culture. For example "Bob the Builder" is a poke at real life builders seen through the eyes of the popular cartoon character. "Paddington" and "Towers" are references to the two disasters that were in the news at the time. The albums' favourite songs are "Alex", a loving tribute to a skilled partner, and "Superstrut", a reference to the emerging liberal view on homosexuality in central London, and the Stranglers. |
