Recently, I went to the Powderfinger concert. I got in free through a friend of a friend. This wonderful friend also handed me tickets to the afterparty. I was so rapt!
For those of you that don't know, Powderfinger is a good Australian band. They've had moderate success with their albums, especially the last one, Odyssey Number 5. Anyone that has an MP3 program and wants to check them out, look for the tracks "My Happiness" (a softer one) or "Like a Dog" (more for hard music fans). I'm sure you'll like them.
Anyhow...I went to the afterparty and it was fantastic to meet the guys in the band. They were extremely nice and very gracious about posing for photos and giving autographs. I expressed concern to Ian (the bass player) about bothering them, but he told me "Hey, that's what we're here for!" It was really nice of him! So, I just got the photos done, and of course, I'm putting them up here. Hope you enjoy!
Also, I am not an alcoholic! I only just realized, looking through the photos that I have a glass of wine in my hand in every one, hahaha. It wasn't intentional, and I didn't drink that much! |
