Before I drift off to sleep.
Tears start to fall,
As I lay here and silently weep.
I want to feel you next to me,
Forever, this is how I want us to be.
My heart and soul cries out, life isn't fair,
Why must we feel such hurt and despair?
Praying I could turn back the hands of time,
Longing to feel your soft lips upon mine.
To look at your soft, warm face,
And to once again feel your loving embrace.
Wishing we could melt away in each others arms,
Knowing deep inside, no one could cause us harm.
My heart feels so much love for you,
It's alive and so very true.
You are a special gift from heaven above,
For you are the one I will always love.
I long and ache for you to be with me,
Wanting only you for all eternity.
God knew my life was empty, I needed you,
Knowing what we would someday share would be true.
You have given me love and shown me the way,
Because of you my days are no longer empty and gray.
There are no words on heaven and earth,
That can describe how I feel for you.
Just know that these words I speak,
Are from the heart and very true.
Before I surrender to midnight's darkness, I know everything will be okay,
For thoughts of you will once again show me the way.
I know you love me and how much you care,
I want you to know these feelings, I will always share.
God sent me an angel, he sent you to me,
I was blessed and with you by my side, I always will be.
Slowly I drift off to sleep but I want you to know,
