Shortly after my 1st pregnancy/miscarriage I fell pregnant again with Shane born 27th may 1995. He weighed 7lb 10oz. As he was my 1st actual baby labour wasn't as nice as I hoped! I have never felt pain like that before.
Shane was 2 days over and my waters went at midnight. I got to the hospital and was told I was in long labour! I had to have a drip to induce the first stages of labour as I was only 3cm and wanting to push! I had double contractions and felt like I was dying! I'm not saying this to put you off as remember i've had 3 more babies since then! lol Its just that 1st babies can be painful, well to me he was the worst!
Shane was born 17 hours after labour started! I swore after him I wouldnt have anymore! I tore abit and had to be stitched, the funny thing was that while the midwife was numbing my noo noo my mother looked over to see what was happening! All of a sudden the midwife squirted the needle into the air and it went right in my mums eyes lol I was laughing but the midwife was worried, while looking round at my mother washing her eyes with water the midwife poked me right in my noo and pubic area with the needle! I wasn't pleased as it bloody hurt! Infact I think the needle hurt more than the labour itself and that hurt lol. Please don't let this story put you off as no matter what pain I went through it was well worth it and the other labours weren't bad at all!
