I had to stay at the hospital for a week. It was very hard because I had to stay in bed the whole time, I couldn't even go to the restroom. Then during my 35th week, I started to get an infection and a fever, finally they took me to deliver my baby. It took four hours for me to push until Jerod came. he weighed 5 lbs 12oz. He was huge for a premature baby. They had to bring him to the NICU right away I didn't even get to see him. I had to wait 24 hours before I got to see him because I was so medicated I was asleep all day.
When I finally saw him he had oxygen on and an Iv on his tiny arm. I was so depressed, I wanted him to be healthy. I stayed with him the whole day, He had to be taught how to feed because he didn't know how. Sometimes he fed through the bottle and at times he was fed through a feeding tube which was so hard for me to see. He finally got better and learned how to feed and suck so we were able to take him home. By the time we took him home, he already weighed 6.5 lbs. Presently he is a healthy, very active 4 year old who weighs about 45 lbs. He eats to much, lol.
