| Christian's Story by: Amy This is my little prince Christian's story. It all started March of 1999. Victor and I met at a restaurant we worked at. We started dating, and only a few short weeks later we got pregnant with baby No. 2! By my 5th month I was convinced I was having a girl since I already had a boy. I dont know why I felt that way. I just did. At my ultrasound appointment I found out that it was a boy! I was so shocked! I had gotten my hopes up about having a girl. Then when they said he was a boy, I was sad. Well, God knows exactly what He is doing because I am so glad that I had my boys first. Because after Christian, I indeed got blessed with our sweet and precious little princess Isabella! Well, this is what happened with Christian. On January 26, 2000, I went to the hospital six days early to be induced. We were moving, and I didnt want to risk going into labor. So this is what happened. We got there at 6 a.m., got hooked up to the monitor and IV, started Pitocin and waited for contractions. It was 12:30 p.m. and Id had no contractions until my doctor came in to break my water. Then I started having them. I was so scared. I remembered how awful it was when I had my first baby no epidural, only two shots of awful Stadol. My sister kept saying, Get the epidural. You will feel so much better! I was so afraid, but I got some courage together to get it. While getting it, I felt so bad for the doctor because I was yelling, freaking out and not being a good patient! Hey, those epidurals hurt! Well anyway, after everything was done, I so was thankful for the epidural! It worked so amazingly. At 4:45 p.m. January 26, 2000, my not-so-little boy was born. Chistian Alexander was 9 pounds, 13 ounces! He is now 4 and is beautiful! As a matter of fact, today was his first soccer game. He did great! They grow up so fast, so cherish them and be thankful for them because they are a blessing from God. Thanks for reading our story. |
