The birth of Eric "Carson" Adams...

I was only 15 almost 16 years old when I found out I was pregnant with Carson. I couldn't believe I had a little life growing inside of me at such a young age. I was very scared and nervous. As time went on I grew more excited and so did my boyfriend.. now husband. I was due June 21st of 2002. I wanted a little girl soooo bad.. I was saying. yep it's a girl it's a girl.. but in the back of my mind I knew it was a boy. But of course once the dr. said the words "It's a Boy" I was overjoyed. I had absolutely no problems with the pregnancy... no morning sickness in the beginning.. nothing... besides being VERY VERY uncomfy my third trimester. Well I went for my check-up the day of my due date and I told my doc that I wanted to be induced. He said well.. if you haven't had it by this weekend meet me at the hospital Monday morning 6:30am. I was sooo happy. Of course I didn't go into labor over the weekend. I could barely sleep the night before my scheduled induction. I couldn't believe my little boy was going to be here that soon. My mom, my husband, and I went to the hospital at 6:30am as instructed and go hooked up to the monitors. They discovered I was already having contractions.. in early labor. They still gave me the pitocin to make them stronger and more regular. They broke my water around 9 ish. I started having mild contractions.. that I felt. but weren't to bad at all. Then around 11:00 or so.. give or take.. the pains just hit me out of nowhere. One minute I was talking the next I was silent in pain with tears streaming down. I received the epidural around 12ish and became TOTALLY numb. Couldn't even move my legs. I started itching from the medicine in the epidural.. or whatever.. and it about drove me crazy. I started feeling pressure around 4:45 or so and told them over and over.. and FINALLY the nurse checked me and said I was 9 cm. They called the dr. and told me to start pushing to see how well I pushed. Well.. it was hard to push because I was so numb and it took me and hour and a half to get him out. At 6:20pm Eric Carson Adams.. we call him Carson.. was born.. 8lbs 4oz 20 3/4 in. long.. although we think he was taller than that. Mom said the nurses had a hard time measuring him.  Now my little man is all "grown up"... so it feels.. he will be 2 in June. Time has flown by soo fast. .. too fast really.  Anyways.. thanks for reading about the birth of my precious little boy.
