This is a big area to jump into. I hope we are starting at the shallow end and not jumping off the deep end. The idea is to get the broadest understanding of American culture. The things we still talk about, and joke about, and have fun with. One thing I've noticed in my travels is that these icons are ubiquitous. If you don't understand them you might not understand us. Use the search feature on your computer, type in an item from the list as a "keyword" and visit some of the sites you find.
