Why are you sick ? Because you
want to be ? Or is it because you don't know how to be healed ? The Bible
says in Hosea 4 .
That people are destroyed because of lack of
knowledge !
James 5:14
Is any sick among you ?
Let him call on the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing
him with oil in the name of the Lord.
In the early church just after Christ's ascension, the apostles would lay hands on the sick, and
anoint them with oil in the name of Jesus. The sick would raise out of the sick
bed healed. This was the gift of healing. 1 Cor 12:9 The anointing with oil, is a point of contact and a
release of faith. It was to symbol of the Spirit of God on the unbelievers.
In the early days when Christ set up the church, he sent the disciples out
to minister. They were told to do as he did. They prayed for the sick.
They cast out devils. They anointed with oil. Read it
Mark
6:13
And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil
many that were sick, and healed them.
The laying on of hands was not just symbolic
in the old days. It is still a way to get the job done. Just like Jesus
said before he left. Go into all the world. Some of today's theologies try
saying that all those things were just for that time. I want to tell you
the truth. The people that don't believe in today miracles are living in yesterdays
beliefs.
Jesus Christ did not hang on the
cross so that we could say well that was for those times and not now. He
hung on the cross and took all our grief's, all our doubt, all our
sickness, all our unbelief, and all our sins, so that we could be free
and victorious in Jesus name. Jesus gave us the keys of the Kingdom. He
gave us the power to bind, and to loose.
Mathew 16:19
And I will
give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatsoever thou shalt
bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on
earth shall be loosed in heaven.
That means that all you have to do is bind and
loose in Jesus name to get the job done. That means in short that
you can bind the situation. And if it doesn't work the you can loose it.
We can walk around locking the situation and loosing the ministering
spirits of almighty God.
In the old testament times they
didn't have the powerful name of Jesus to give them the strength to get
the job done. But we now today have all rights as born again children of
God, joint heirs with Christ to call on the name of Jesus to get it done.
And believe me it will get the job done.
Elijah had
wonder working faith. He once prayed for God to let a child live, and God
let the child live.
1 kings 17:21-22
And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the Lord and said, O
Lord my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him
again.
22. And the Lord heard the voice of Elijah: and the soul of the
child came into him again, and he revived.
Today we have the name of Jesus. And there is
great wonder working mountain moving power in the name of Jesus. The
bottom line is this. If you or someone you know is sick you do
this.
1. You call the elders.
2, The elders lay hands on the
sick and agree with them.
3. They anoint the sick with oil, in the Name
of Jesus.
4. The elders bind the devil.
5. The elders loose the
healing in the name of Jesus.
6. You and the elders agree.
7. The
sick receive and believe the healing.
8. The sick is
healed.
