Marrakesh is Surprisingly well -endwed with gardens for a City so close to the Sahara and the Marrakchi have two  of the best or tree in the Country.
The Largest and most is impressive is the AGDAL Garden South of the Royal
Palace .Access on the foot is  preferable from either the Saadian Tombs continue down the Way or "Route de la Kasbah" or from The Palaces des Ferblantiers enter or between the Mellah and turn night
into street Berrima.
Both streets go around the Palace and meet at the Bab Agdal (gdal's Door) from where you can go through another gate into the Garden.
By car ,follow the "Route des Remparts" clokwise to its finish at Bab Ahmar (door red) then walk past the palace to Bab Agdal.
Since the nid-19th cent garden was the SREAM of Marrakshis who used irrigation canals and conduit that had existed since the early days of the City.
The grounds now hold a sample of most of the fruiting trees of the region ,including olives on rectangular plats
Pass the Dar El_Beida ,the "white house" in 19th cent Royal palace ,to the pools at the far end of the grounds climb onto the terrace of ruined pavilion and you have a good view over the city and back to theAtlas Mountains.
The Menara Garden is the little less formal in design and specialises in olive trees ,but is shady none_the less ,leave Bab Jedid (New Door) for the Avenue The Menara which runs dead straight for 1.5miles and ends by the poolside pavilion.
The Jardin Majorelle north of the main bus station.
This Garden has a ninch bether  selection to offer but on a smaller scale.
Stay at The Mamounia Hotel just inside the Bab Jedid you can share the delights of its splendid Garden ,land out in the 18th cent .Or just wander the streets ofthe New Marrakesh Town and admire the corner plots and the hedges where Jaasmine ,Jacaranda ,Hibiscus, Oleander ,Bongainvillea andother exotic flowers grow as ifwild. But don't try eating the miniature oranges, they're bither
And the End ,The last  as new Garden ,Marrakesh has The Mountazah
Princess Lalla Hasna 's Garden near The Koutoubia Mosque ,This Garden was built a year ago./.
