| BuddhaSena�s Constitution Name and Location of Organization The name of this organization is BuddhaSena � Columbus, and is located in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Buddha means the enlightened one and Sena means soldier so BuddhaSena means the soldiers of Buddha. Vision Statement BuddhaSena is an Indonesian Buddhist Student Association at Ohio State University, which is committed to the following and spreading of BuddhaDhamma (Buddha�s Teaching) and to support Sangha (Buddhist community) Organizational Purpose This organization exists to develop our faith in Tiratna (Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha) with the Buddhist principles of nonviolence, tolerance, self-awareness, and compassion for other living things. Non-Discrimination Policy This organization and its members shall not discriminate against any individual(s) for reasons of race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, sex, age, handicap, or veteran status. Statement of Faith Belief that Buddha Gautama is the true Buddha, the enlightened one who can guide us till the end of suffering. Belief that lives is Dukkha (suffering) and Dhamma is the only way to end Dukkha. Belief in reincarnation Belief about Karma (Cause and Effect Law) Belief that all beings are born by their own Karma Belief that all beings are responsible to their own Karma Membership BuddhaSena is open to every one who interested to learn about Buddhism. All Buddhist followers (especially Indonesian) at Ohio State University are welcomed to be a member of this organization. Participation at BuddhaSena is strictly voluntary. Meetings Our meetings usually held twice in a month. Every first week of the month we hold a meeting to discuss Dhamma and every third week of the month we have a fellowship meeting. |
