Francis Charles ROWE Angie Foye BLAISDELL

A long, long time ago I became interested in asking Gram & Gramp about their lives, family histories, and even about the trials of raising their own family during hard times of the depression era .
For more than ten years I have gathered 100's of leads, pages of notes, some old photos and even audio tapes of my sessions with Gram & Gramp, (I treasure them the most!).
I have talked with various family members and walked thru many cemeteries on my quest. My adventure started in Albion ME and took me accrossed the Atlantic to England and eventually to Ireland.
15 years ago I did not have device to post all my findings, but now I do.  I decided I could organize the family genealogy much faster with a website and everyone could browse thru at their leisure.
I hope you have as much fun reading the Rowe & Blaisdell adventures as I have had learning about them!
The Rowe side of the tree is a little harder to navigate.  The hospital where Gramp was born unfortunately burned to the ground and  the only record of his birth was lost.  Which has made his branch of the tree VERY hard to negotiate!  In 2002 Cindy Clark & I decided to make a trek to Ireland and set out  to find out where Gramp's mother came from.  We  found some interesting data, drank a lot of whiskey,  but also found relatives who were more than gracious with their time, food and stories.  I am trying to plan another trip to get back there soon!
To my amazement most of the info for Gram & the Blaisdell's was already reasearched and recorded by Shirley Willoughby!  My many thanks to her (and Aunt Louise) for talking to me about their past and sharing their info with me. There are a whole bunch of Blaisdell's out there and most of them keep in touch with each other.  They have websites and reunions in which decendants from all across the country attend!  Wow, they are organized!  Thanks again Shirley!
Keep on investigating!
Now this site is a work in progress so don't expect it to be up & running with every page accessible right away!   I will try my best to update  it as often as I can.  You will be able to tell from the UPDATED date on the top of this page.
Hope you find something new you never knew about Gram and Gramp!
They are truely the most fascinating people I have ever known!
