| This painting was for my year 10 exam. I had studied the motion of the sea by drawing quick studies and taking some photos. I was falling to one side when I took the photograph that I eventually painted which I thought would give an unusual sea feeling. I feel that the unusual angle of the horizon simulates the life at sea on a large sailing boat. I was trying to portray a depressed, angry feeling and thought that by adding clouds will fulfil my aim by introducing the anger sensation into the painting.
