My name is Ibrahim Ullah and I am 18. I am studying Optometry at Bradford University. Beffore I used to go to Portsmouth College and beffore that I used to attend the Admiral Lord Nelson School in Portsmouth, England. I was studying a lot of subjects at college. As you may have noticed I like art and many of my paintings can be viewed in this website. I also like basketball and like to keep fit. One day I will hopefully dunk the ring but till that day just you wait. Since college ended I have tried looking for a job but have had litle success, sometimes I wonder if there was any point of going to college as academic knowledge is rarely a big deal for jobs in these days. I found a job during summer 2002 but it only lasts for two days, it was at the Festival of Speed at Goodwood House near Chichester. My postion was a waiter where I was waitering for rich people typicaly millionaires. I had seriously embarrased my self when I was trying to serve wine to a person with the cork still attached leaving me confused, the table, which included 10 people all laughed but I kept my cool.
Here is a little brain teaser which will keep you thinking for a while: Once upon a time there were three beautiful women living in a flat, they were very poor and had a small TV which was difficult to watch. One day each lady managed to obtain 10 from work making 30 all together. They decided to go to the high street and and look for a new larger TV. They were in luck, as they passed a shop window they saw a TV priced 30 and so they decided to bye it. They went in the shop and gave the manager the 30 which he put in the till and started to carry the TV home. Suddenly the manager realized that the TV was on sale giving 5 off. The manager told his assistant to take 5 from the till and run up to the 3 women to pay them back. However as the assistant was gaining to the ladies he decided to be sly and keep 2 for him self leaving only 3 to give back to the women. As he confronted the 3 women he gave each of them 1 back and one of the ladies were so happy that she said "whow we only had to pay 9 pounds each instead of 10 each" this is of course true as they recieved a pound back. The question is the three women paid 9 each making a total of 27 and including the 2 which the shop assistant kept, it gives a total of 29. Where did the other 1 go? Good luck

I am currently living in Bradford but used to live in Portsmouth with with my mother, sister 17 and two younger brothers 15 and 12 having lost my father at the age of 13 due to an illness. Ever since I have been under a lot of pressure to do well in college and go on to university so that I can obtain a well paid job to provide for the whole family. I have taken part in the Cutty Sarks Tall Ship race on august 4th. I am now at University to study optometry, my teacher told me that an optician's job is easy, you get paid a lot for litle work just the way I like it. I originaly came from Bangladesh when I was a few months old, not on my own as could barely walk but with help with my parents. Bangladesh is a wondefull place totaly different from England, there is a large difference in culture and way of life. A lot of people in Bangladesh are Muslims and so try to follow the way of the prophet Muhammod (SWA). In England it is very modernised with litle culture these days. In this society it is very difficuilt to pursue this faith. I dont like pizza and I dont like cheese but I adore ice-cream. I am a person who likes to explore and visit new areas. Sometimes I wish I was a litle boy again, it is so much more fun, there are no worries or responsibilities you can just continue to be up to mischief. Below is a picture of me doing a chemistry experiment in colege 'dont worry it was a safe one'. This is when I had a skin head. Weard huh.
