Aside from discussing the various factors responsible for the disintegration of Pakistan the learned author has tried to analyse the circumstances and causes which led to he failure of March negotiations, the role of military junta, the role of Pakistani leaders, and the role of India and Super Powers during the crisis.
Most of the books that have been written onthe emergence of Bangaldesh project a particular viewpoint. This study is based mostly upon the material published in the internationla press, personal interviews conducted by the author and onsome "disclosures" regardingthe inside story which is being revealed for the first time, the sources of which the author apologises not to identify.
