IBIS Voices Is Back!

Giuliana Locay

When Neeti Parekh and I decide to revitalize IBIS Voices in the fall of 2003, we chose to have the club serve as a way for IBIS students to voice their opinions about upcoming IBIS events, fundraisers, and community service opportunities.

This year IBIS Voices had a picnic, gathered ideas for the freshmen event, helped to organize the junior retreat, informed the IBIS students of numerous community service activities, and began to brainstorm ideas for the Adopt-a-Minefield project.

Being in IBIS Voices has been a lot of fun as well as a lot of work, not only for myself but for all who participated in the club. However, with one year of experience behind us, we feel even more confident and excited about the year ahead. Though next year I will be trading in my position as president in favor of the vice-presidency, the more-than-capable Neeti Parekh will take over as president.

In the upcoming school year, I encourage all IBIS students to run for a position as an IBIS Voices representative. Representatives are instrumental to the club in that they voice the opinions of their classmates.

With your help and everyone's participation, IBIS Voices will be at its best. I look forward to seeing you all at one of our meetings next year!
