* A Big Thank You goes out to Steffie Smith for getting my site up and going. And to Todd Bates with his expert help in reviewing my EVP'S. Please take a minute to go to their website's www.hauntedvoices.com and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hauntedvoices
I always try to bring extra batteries because the spirits do try to drain your electronic devices as well. I'm NOT an expert nor am I certified yet but I'm getting my information from fellow ghost hunters and if you do enough research on EVP's or any type of ghost hunting you will understand the outcome. I went from using a cheap recorder to a pretty fairly descent one. I use thirty to sixty minute tapes just my prefrence. I go out to local cemetaries mostly and come up with some really good EVP's not Class A but just the norm.
What Kinds of Questions to Ask while recording evp's
You can ask whatever you want I usually ask 'yes' or 'no' questions at first and then I get a little tired of that and ask like "Can you tell me your name?" I sometimes get really bored asking the same old questions so sometimes I get creative and ask the spirits "What was their favorite color?" "What was their favorite song?" It's a challenge to come up with different questions.

*EVP = Is disembodied voices caught on tape. They are found on cassette tapes, digital recorders, videotapes, cell phone's answering machines or anywhere else that sound can be recorded. Alot of research has been done on this but no one knows exactly how this works.

HOW TO CLASS YOUR EVP'S
Class A = The Best EVP's, they are clear no clean-up needed for these and anyone can hear what's being said. Class B = These are audible but need some clean-up to hear them better. Class C = These are barely audible, a whisper or sigh many people hear different things. Reverse EVP = Some evp's when played back can have an entirely different meaning from playing it forward. Even the syllables' can also be so much different. Noone knows why this happens there are many different theories.

How to Record EVP'S
A regular cassette tape recorder some people choose digital ones but the old one's work the best. Always use a new tape, use only one side of the tape never turn it over to record on the other side the reason for this is to keep recordings from the other side bleeding through. Also you must have an external microphone this keeps the motor noise from your recordings from being hear. Ask a question wait at least 30 seconds, then ask another this gives the spirits time to answer you. Always remember to be in a good mood spirits can pick up them. Leave your recorder on before leaving ,don't be surprised if they say good-bye to you!
