Most of us come to this country searching for better prospect. We chose to move here to better our lives, unfortunately, higher education depends on a 9-digit number called Social Security. Financial aid, FAFSA is not available to us. Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation. (ILLCF)
Each year, the legislative memebers of the ILLCF nominate for foundation scholarships deserving young people of good character and high academic achievement.  The scholarships are typically one-time grants of $2,000.  The scholarship are presented at the Scholarship Banquet, a special event during the annual conference.

United States Hispanic Leadership Institute (USHLI)

The $1,000 scholarship is presented at the USHLI national conference held annually in Chicago. To qualify, the applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a full-time student in a four year institution and demostrate financial need.  At least one parent must be Hispanic ancestry. Recipients must be able to attend the USHLI national conference. The number of scholarships awarded varies form year to year. All applications must include a cover page, backgound information, leadership essya, trascript, resume, picture, and letters of reference.
