Port Injection
Left & Right are views of the modified Geo Metro head.  The solid boss above each of the round intake ports has been drilled out to accomodate the '87-89 Chevy Sprint Turbo injectors.  The tip of injector has rubber donut around it, which centers tip in the hole & seals it when injector is squashed down by fuel rail.
This is the stock Chevy Sprint Turbo fuel rail, with its 3 injectors. Fuel regulator is top right.  On the left end of the fuel rail was the pulse dampner which was removed as it is not needed (it only quiets the system).  This uint on stock turbo was  mounted in a heavy bulky manifold on a heavier old style head.  At bottom is the adapter that mounts the fuel rail to the Geo head.  The 2 spacers between the injectors are sandwiched between the 2 ears of the rail & the ears of the adapter.  Injector floats in a rubber ring inside rail & in a rubber donut around the tip in the head.
Left: The 2 bosses just below the valve cover are drilled & tapped so 2 bolts can tie adapter to head.

Right: Injectors are inserted into head.  2 bolts then pass thru the ears of rail, the spacers, then screw into adapter.  The height of spacers determine how hard rail presses injectors into head.
Two views of fuel rail installed on head.  Right is top front view of engine.  Hole in front of rail is were pulse dampner was.  It will be plugged.
