EXHAUST  SYSTEM
HOME
As I couldn't find 1/8"  321 square stainless tubing, I welded two 1 1/2" angle's together. The tube was welded to Raven's exhaust flange & the holes cut out.  This manifold was made heavy so as to hold turbo assembly without additional bracing & no slip joints needed.
A 3/8" 304 Stainless plate was welded to front of log to mount turbo.  Individual runners & a taper to turbo inlet would have been a few % more efficient, but many times more complex & heavier, plus added width to engine compartment.
Rear wall on right was slanted to decrease drag.  Notice 2" section added to left side of exhaust log.  I decided I needed to move turbo assembly further forward (ahead of water pump).
This is exhaust manifold with turbo assembly mounted on it.  Very left is turbo intake inlet from intercooler  Pointing back & up is 321 stainless turbo exhaust pipe.
