I posted the original review as well, because I know that I sometimes forget what I said exactly when I go to read the review responses to someone's story.  *sweatdrop*  So... my comments are in italics.

You have an interesting story going here. I must admit I'm a little confused, but I'm sure it's going to be explained in later chapters. Definitly a different idea than I've seen before. I was surprised to see that you are also the author of Kindred Spirits, another story I have enjoyed alot. You are very talented, and I look forward to reading more of both stories.
I�m so happy, I was hoping it was a bit different. ^^ Heh, I didn�t know you were reading Kindred Spirits! Yes, I was actually surprised when I got this idea to write about while working on KS. The two stories are VERY different, but I like working in all sorts of styles. It is good when you need to switch gears and try something new.

hey you posted it! Very interesting. That saying from the old religion is pretty cool. i like the set up, and i'm worried for kougaji. so is keikan a word for vampire? it's a pretty cool word, did you make it up for the story? or is it real? hope to see the second chapter soon!
Yep! My beta helped convince me to post it when I did. ^^ I like the line from the old religion too. More will come up about that line, so don�t forget about it.
�Keikan� means �strong� in Japanese. It is no way connected to vampires besides in my fic. More will be explained about the word in this chapter.

Yeah, this story can�t be defined by just two genres. Had I been able to select more genres, I�d definitely be putting down Drama, Romance, and Suspense. I�m glad you like it!

One of my favorite kinds of stories are the kind that have you jump right into the action, and explain later. I wanted to try approaching a story in a new way, and I got my chance when I got this story idea. I couldn�t see any way to do it differently. ^^

First off, I really liked your review on my fic. I know that must seem a strange way to open a review, but I loved and appreciated how you told me what you did and didn't like. That won you my respect as a reviewer, and I think through this fic you've won my respect as a fellow competent author.
It's terrific for a teaser or opening to what's obviously going to be a huge, messy fic. But this sort of messy is going to be the fun kind, if I can make that sort of prediction from the prologue alone.
The underlying plot seems like it's going to be intense. I'm thrilled to see that you're combining quite a few of my favourite things, such as superatural elements and violence. The pairings promised really doesn't hurt, either; I love all three of them, some more than others, and I'm admittedly mostly excited by the promise of Kougaiji/Yaone. As a pretty strongly hinted-at het pairing, they don't get enough attention.
Kougaiji as a vampire? Wonderful and fitting. I adore Kougaiji and I think I like the role you're setting up for him.
It's promising so far, and I can't wait to see where this goes. I think even without future pairings this sort of fic would still grab my attention. Whatever way it goes, I can only hope it's successful.

*blushes* I have your respect? I�m honored. *bows* And you�re right, this fic is going to be VERY messy. I�ll admit, I�ve always been fascinated with supernatural creatures � especially vampires � and I�ve NEVER seen a Saiyuki Vampire AU before.
I DID think that Kougaiji would fit the role of a vampire well. I hope that the other vampires fit too� Well, you�ll see soon enough about that. ^.~

I�m glad you like the imagery. It is probably one of my favorite things to write. Hmmm� when you talk of vampire fics, are you referring to Saiyuki at all? Because I have NEVER seen one for this fandom before. I know the whole �vampirizing� of an anime has been done countless times, but I wasn�t sure if it had ever been done like this. ^^

I have to admit that I am a little confused. I thought that I was reading this story from Goku's perspective at first but then at the end I learned that it was really Kougajii's. I don't know if it's me being stupid or what.
