The illusion in the scientific perspective
All this talk of how the universe is composed of undulations and ripples in the geometry of nothingness, and how everything is nothing...Almost as if the material of our universe is the same invisible, intangible material that makes a dream, kind of makes the sense of isolation and hopelessness worse. If this is all an nothing...what’s the point? There is no love in this rough model. But how come when people come back from a near death experience they speak of a loving light, that was so compassionate and forgiving it seemed to not only radiate life but love as well. They come back feeling liberated, and thankful for being alive. There is nothing that indicates any love when viewing the universe scientifically.
The man, because of the scan now sees a bunch of lines and circles and the beauty of such a complex mechanism is lost.
We just recently and amazingly made a model of what the early universe looked like right after the big bang:
This model is purely scientific and as rough as it gets. You can only get so far by viewing the universe as nothing but scientific…This is it. The early universe..huh..(Scratches forehead)... not much of a sight. This is the rough indirect model. I bet the early universe was a lot more beautiful than just a clump of red in a blue background. If you were to observe it directly, you would finally be able to see the beauty, see it as it truly is. You would have witnessed that the huge explosion gave rise to gas and energy as the limits of the universe expanded with high speed giving electromagnetism more room to vibrate, thus creating the electromagnetic spectrum of ultraviolet, colors and radio waves. You would have also observed the gasses moving and clumping together causing hydrogen atoms to be compressed into a point and fusing into helium creating huge amounts of energy and light. Piercing the darkness, these new first suns would exist for long periods of time and explode sending new elements into the universe. These new elements, combined with the first created will then continue to make all the planets as gravity clumps each ingredient together, forcing them to mix and dry...Eventually forming the gallaxies, the milky way and our solar system.
That process was actually beautiful and filled with the life that we are failing to portray in this rough, 2 dimensional model of the universe. We are failing to discover the life and love when stating the universe is just an illusion. The universe may be an illusion, but the universe is not as simple as that... (Just like how the beginning of the universe was not as simple as just those clumps that you see in the picture) there is a purpose and there is love.
Einstein made an analogy about man and his endeavors to find the workings of the Universe. He explains that we are like a man trying to discover what was inside of a watch that can’t be opened. The man may rattle it, make hypothesis and wonder but he will never know. We are getting closer and closer to discovering what is inside the watch. But it is a rough version, purely scientific. It is as if the man who wanted to find what was in the watch, waited till the technology of x-rays were made and finally scanned what was inside.
