MISSION STATEMENT
OIKOS - Reaching Home Churches Across Australia
OIKOS is a servant ministry seeking to advance God’s Kingdom purposes in our land by supporting and encouraging Home Churches - both within and independent of the traditional church. We do this through the provision of relevant news and information in a quarterly newsletter, by personal contact, pastoral care and speaking engagements.
OIKOS is a means of providing information and seminars to those interested in Home Church
Bessie Pereira of OIKOS will facilitate this weekend gathering. Previous CHH gatherings in Melbourne and Sunshine Coast Queensland have been fruitful in affirming Christians who find themselves, for various reasons, outside the traditional church. CHH has assisted, where desired and possible, the beginnings of informal gatherings and has encouraged the development of the vision of groups within and independent of denominational churches. Her background is in the Anglican ministry. OIKOS, Bessie Pereira and the Team who work with her, have been serving the Home Church scene for almost 10 years.

Any particular concerns or questions you would like to have addressed at this weekend?
Bessie is coming for a two week stay. She will be contacting people and I am sure there will be opportunity for informal meetings as well as the Saturday option. I would encourage you to contact those you know who may wish to come on the Saturday, otherwise they may wish to contact Bessie via Ian and Anne Duckham on 9291 6256.
Church Hits Home is for ......
A Second Reformation is taking place.....
Theology was reformed under Luther and others from the sixteenth century. In our day we see the Lord of the Church re-forming His church....
This is a weekend when we will seek to experience ‘being church’. We will take a fresh look at the church in New Testament times - and the rest that happens will come out of our being together as God’s people. Plenty of opportunity to share, discuss and explore.
