The Issues!!!!
Issue 1 - December 2001 - the very first Part Time Punk! Was it all those years ago, it just seems like yesterday! This had pieces on ATV, Chron Gen, the Boys, TV Personailities (naturally!). Not a bad first effort, if I do say so meself!
Issue 2 - Feb 2002 - getting into the swing of things a bit more on this one, have to say that this is the biggest selling issue of PTP so far, sold almost 200 copies of this little babe! Pieces on Sham 69, Red Alert (Steve Smith interview), Red London (Gaz Stoker interview), X Ray Spex, and lots of other super stuff
Issue 3 - May 2002 - the first thirty copies of this one came in a colour cover, in honour of the Adverts! Features a TV Smith interview, DOA, Action Pact, Kleenex and a Pub Rock to Punk Rock piece. For some reason I let Ged Throwback write a bit on the Cigarettes in this one - a great CD though. Also has Yeah Yeah Noh in this one
Issue 4 - August 2002 - This one had a large feature on the Upstarts, with an interview with Tony Feedback, bass player at the time of the "Reason Why" LP. Also features an interview with Long Tall Shorty mainman Tony Morrison (wait a minute, they're the same person!) and with Pilger (who said nepotism wasn't a good thing!) and pieces on HITS, the Pistols at the Palace, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Rough Trade's brilliant early singles.
Issue 5 - December 2002 - This was a good one. Bits on Chelsea and Generation X, Serious Drinking, Patrick Fitzgerald, Fast Products, Penetration and the Damned caught live, Superyob interview, also an interview with Paul Marotta of legendary Cleveland US proto punks the Electric Eels, along with all the usual delights
Issue 6 - February 2003 - Another goodie if I do say so myself! The Rich Kids are featured with a Glen Matlock interview, pieces on Bogshed, the Paybacks, the Times, The Undertones, Joe Strummer (RIP), Wire Live (well supposedly...) and a big piece on Ska, Reggae and Dub and the effect it has had on Mods, Skins and Punk Rock culture (You mean it has a culture? hmmmm!)
Issue 7 - May 2003 - This featured a trip to LA with the Germs, an interview with the legendary Neville Staple of the Specials, Infa Riot, the Rezillos and Buff Medways, a personal view of American Hardcore as part of a review of the book of the same name. This also had bits on the Professionals, the Members and Generation X (again). Annuver winner, as Gary Crowley used to say so annoyingly.
Issue 8 - August 2003 - This one has an interview with Andrew of the great Only Anarchists Are Pretty website, a large personal history of yours truly over the years in connection with the Sex Pistols (don't worry, it's a lot better than it sounds), the incomparable Ari Up, Essential Logic, Killing Joke, satirist Chris Morris, the Undertones, 60s Garage Punk, the Purple Hearts and the Banshees new book reviewed. Buy buy buy.
Issue 9 - December 2003 - Just in time for Xmas, this issue has great interviews with Ari Up, Andy Blade and Sidekick. Also pieces by Rob Chester on Richard Hell, Dave Tup on SLF and the Straps and my good self on Johnny Moped, the Subway Sect, New Wave and the Jags, the Pretenders, Lester Bangs and the Jam. Oh and it comes complete with reviews and an end of year round up. Buy and read it while you decide which repeat to watch on telly!
Issue 10 - March 2004 - This one has an in depth look at the Dead Kennedys with Klaus Fluoride giving some background on those early years. Interviews with Gertrude and Crashed Out and pieces on Jilted John, The Cockney Rejects, the Buzzcocks, Wreckless Eric and the Dirtbombs. Also a dialogue from yours truly on what I listened to/watched/ read in early 2004 which mentions the Small Faces, Adam Ant and Big Youth amongst others. Oh and we have a look at the UK in the early 70s and ask "now what was that all about".......

Here's a picture of me interviewing Mr Glen Matlock for issue 6......
Issue 11 - June 2004 - This issue probably had the most diverse interviews we have had, a great mix. We featured LA's legendary Weirdos, Wales' very own the Oppressed, and Bradford's "Bored Teenagers" the Negatives. Also, Mark Perry of Sniffin Glue fame intrerviews Reggae legend Dr Alimantado direct from 1977. Other bits we had included pieces on ATV's brilliant "Strange Kicks", Squeeze's "Cool For Cats", the odd world of TV talent contests and Punk and Rob Chester and Tup's bits. An ace read if I do say so myself.
Issue 12 - September 2004 - Only just out and it felt difficult to follow up number 11, I thought that was pretty much everything I ever wanted to do with a fanzine. But we've given it a go and come up with the goods again, in the form of interviews with Barse, Lack Of Knowledge, the Straps and Sean O'Neill, whose bit is augmented with some brilliant photos of early NI bands like Rudi, the Outcasts and SLF. And we've also got our Reggae feature "Rhythm Shower", the Dickies TV theme favourite from 1979, a New York special and the Kinks Are The Village Green Preservation Society! And all the other bits you'd expect from PTP and all still for a quid too!
