Prologue
"War in the North"
Summer, 3205, Year of the Boar
D’Hellzaben’s ruling warlord Marius sought conquest of the south, and though at the time a superpower, went to war with Del’goth and Heath’Goth simultaneously. D’Hellzaben landed an army on the north beaches of Del’goth and Heath’goth. A force of 500,000 swarmed the Heath’Goth clan of sparrow and an equal force of 500,000 made camp on Northern Del’goth.
Marcus Ironfist, King of Bear Clan, feared that Marius would march his enormous army south and take the clans of the western and central barbarians. In the past Marcus made alliances with the other clans of the north in times of war. Alliances that usually lasted the duration of a given conflict of the time. With a five-hundred-thousand man force landing near raccoon. Marcus took his standing army of fifty-thousand and marched to Raccoon, where he held a meeting with the kings of the Raccoon, Eagle, Wolf, Hawk and Fish.
Marcus had proposed that the six Clans form the Nation of Del’goth. The nation would have a strong central government led by Marcus. The standing armies of the six would be under Marcus’s rule. The meeting lasted ten days in which the six kings discussed what would happen if D’Hellzaben was allowed to take all the lands of the six clans or what would happen if they became subordinate states to Marcus. The king of Eagle stubbornly said he would not join such a union of clans and would take his chances on his own. Marcus summarily had the king of Eagle executed and put his son talon, a ½ crimson elf in power. With a silver tongue Marcus convinced the other four clans to form one nation and in the year 3205 the Nation of Del‘goth was formed. Together their armies were three-hundred-thousand men strong. Marcus marched his new army to raccoon and immediately began planning for defense of his new nation.
Marcus’s father was a God. Draxis, the lord of souls and ruler of Purgatory on the larger red moon. Marcus had two brothers, Dominus Severus of beaver clan and Charlemagne of the city state of Auchter. Draxis had chosen a mortal woman to have Marcus and Dominus and 100 years before their birth Draxis had another son Charlemagne. Having ½ the blood running through their veins, the three brothers had several abilities, one of which long distance telepathy. Though Marcus, Dominus and Charlemagne were far away from each other they could converse mentally.
Dominus, King of Beaver, also held a meeting of Clans. He met with the kings of Sparrow, Caribou and Stag. In the same year, 3205, as Del’goth was founded as a new nation, Dominus brought the four clans into the new nation of Heath’Goth. Though the king of stag was reluctant, Dominus threatened that he wouldn’t help them once the D’Hellzaben war machine reached them. From fear of invasion the king bowed to Dominus and recognized him as primary ruler of the clan.
With two armies of five-hundred-thousand on Del’goth soil and on Heath’goth soil Dominus and Marcus fought the invader in many battles and skirmishes.
Upon news of his first home, Bear Clan, being at war, Marcus’s son Bruce Ironfist retired from his station as General of the Bronze Republic and came to the place he still considered home, Bear clan.
The fighting lasted 3 long years and the D’hellzaben armies were crushed. Once the invader was defeated Dominus and Marcus took their armies by longboat to the island nation of D’hellzaben. For 10 years war raged and the result was victory. Del’Goth took the southern half of D’hellzaben, the cities of Rockport, Chimal and Rosel and Dominus took Northland and Trenlar. With Rockport the former capital of D’hellzaben, Marcus kept the city as capital of the northern province and appointed his son Duncan Ironfist to Governor.
After the war the Empire of Kulan recognized Del’goth as a nation, as opposed to a lose alliance of clans and Marcus appointed Bruce to the position of diplomat. Trade began from Del’goths neighbors, Kulan, Haraxis and Heath’goth.
Some time later Dominus, Marcus and Attila, king of Hell’goth met and formed the Confederation of Barbarian states. The Confederation was an alliance between the three states as well as dealing with trade issues.
Now King of a nation and not a clan, Marcus established a code of laws and established an elite heavy infantry core called Avengers.
In the year 3255 Bruce retired from his position as Diplomat. At the age of 305 Bruce got married and settled down in Greendale, a small farming village in southern Kulan.
