Engine
The way a mobylette engine works is fundimentally simple. Inside the flywheel, 1) there is a centrifugal clutch that contains to springs attached to some rubber pads and above a cetain RPM the pads clamp the outer wall of the clutch , thus turning the belt that spins the back wheel which revolves the chain which turns the wheel and propels the bike.

1) flywheel.

2) Back spinning wheel that contains gearbox linking the chain drive.

Here we can see the magneto on the engine. because it has no gears everything is directly linked to the conrod, big end inside the engine. Usually an engine sits in a cradle frame on a bike but because of the shape of a mobylettes frame this cannot be done so instead it has to hang from the barrel head which makes any maintanence on the engine long and hard to carry out because if the head needs to be removed the engine needs to be unbolted of the frame in about five seperate places. On the head itself the decompressor is connected which aids the engine in starting up when it is cold.
The flywheel was designed and produces by NOVI which provided all the electrics as standard on mobylettes like the coil.
