Sunday 13th April 2008 - Sour Mill Gill
The Sour Milk Gill walk was brilliant but it was quite tough going up and down along the way. We all made it.
9 people met at Grasmere car park at 9.45am and then they set off walking at 10am. Three other people could not make it. We met two new faces and we got on very well. They were experienced walkers.
The weather was just perfect for walking and the visibility was very good. We could see all of the mountains very clear miles away. We were very fortunate with the good weather. We saw beautiful bright snow on tops of high mountains and Scafell Pike was one of them. We reached the summit of High Raise at 1pm and it was very cold blowing. After that we went over Helm Crag to Grasmere and we arrived back at about 5pm. We really enjoyed the walk of 9 miles took in 7 hours.
