NEVER ALONE

"Laugh and the world laughs with you."
                                "Cry and you cry alone."
In this world full of people rushing by
Those words are sometimes my own.

Many times friends are hard to come by
And no confidant cares to draw nigh
We live in a world filled with busy souls
Who themselves are just trying to get by

With cynicism easy to cling to,
Although I have malice toward none,
I find that the friends I can count on
On the odds are a billion to one.

So how does a soul keep on giving
                                And sharing and caring alone?
I know that the answer lies deep within God
Who himself gave His only dear Son!

So when silence is so hard to bear
And you just need to pour out your heart
                                Remember that Jesus is there
And He's promised to never depart.

Yes, life can be lonesome at times
Full of troubles and sorrows to bear
So remember this thought so sublime:
Cast your burdens on Jesus through prayer!
