Jump Engines

These engines also act as a common method of tranportation for spacecraft, especially freighters.

The speeds used by the traditional Warp engines are used for the Jump Drives as well. The only difference is the movement with Jump Drives. Spacetime is curved as proven by Tyrennian Geometry, and the spacecraft move through these folds in space. Thus, the distant traveled is proven to be shorter than if traveling directly through space.

The primary problem encountered with using these engines is the frequent starts-and-stops that may be done between jump points, causing overloads.
