Radio - Primitive method using wavelengths. Practical only to intraplanetary communications
Light Radio - Common method using light in a pattern to broadcast messages. Short range (Several light-minutes to several light-days)
Quantum Circuit - Common method using quantum mechanics. Long range (System to system)
Dimensional - Uses Dimensional Technology. Extremely longe range (Galaxy-wide), for stability. Neutron Stars and pulsars provide slight stability.

Common Codes:
BBS (Basic Binary Standard) - 6-bits per byte, simple code to break. Transmits simple messages, origins in early Solarian Empire.
