What's up with him... he just really seemed to go nuts over the last couple of days. I don't know, actually, it's been kind of frightening. He keeps threatening to hack into the board or something... I wish you good, luck in dealing with him, DEA, and I have to say that you've been doing a pretty good job with it so far. Klptzyxm!

i am posting here to issue some sort of a warning to all the mods and administrators. Reading through some threads at this late hour, i do not feel that The Line has left at all. I do believe that he has other aliases and is using them at current and doing the same things that got him banned for a week. I took part in the thread that got him banned for that week, and i can tell by the way this person talks and reacts to others, that The Line is still among us.Thanks, LOTW ------------------ I...did not...have....interplanetary relations with that Vulcan...

Of course, he is now Rachel Warrander. He also is Red Wacker, who in turn was RQ. He enjoys negative attention. Why he enjoys this kind of attention is beyond anyone's understanding. The trolling will not stop, surely.

I'm not up on bbs opering. Can a bbs *truly* ban someone the way I can on the irc network I am an oper on? I can ban their isp from the network. Can you do that here so the banned person can't simply create another username and continue posting?------------------ God and the Soldier all men adore In times of trouble and in war But when war is over and all things righted God is forgotten and the Soldier slighted

But Larkin, Most people can simply dial-up another ISP. I've got cable, but I could route through a shadow ISP.The only thing to do with trolls is bat them down quickly. At, I belive, 439 posts, The deal with The Line was allowed to get out-of-hand.

I'm chagrined about giving the Line the benefit of the doubt for so long. I'm disappointed that he turned into such a humorless troll. I suppose that I continued to give him the benefit of the doubt so long because I thought his initial posts were pretty good, and because I believed, and still do believe, that some members were too quick to attack him. Since at least Friday, April 13, though he's been spiraling out of control. He deserved the 24 hour ban, and he certainly deserved the week long ban. Its still my hope that the Line will pull it together and become a reasonable member of the board upon his return, but I for one won't be cutting him any slack.

Ahh but I'd find you and lay the smackdown again We have found a ton of those ways ppl ban evade, and we're getting pretty good at getting them Anyway, just curious.

Friday the 13th... This ban was sad, but necessary. I have more to say about it, but I won't post here because it will get lost with the plethora of other ban announcements we've been getting.

Thank God he's gone. I tried to avoid posting in any threads he made over the past 2 or 3 days. He seemed to think that I was some sort of kindred spirit. He seemed to get quite bitter after his last ban, and spent a lot of time trying to point aou other peoples indiscretions, hoping that one of the Mods would give them warnings. He forgot, or chose to ignore, that he had provoked these people in the first place. I hope he comes back with a slightly better attitude, but I doubt that he will.

*exhales in relief*While I originally cut him some slack, I really became annoyed when he/she/it decided to make it a personal crusade to attack each and every member of the BBS. No thread was safe. I pretty much ignore most of the trolls, and I haven't participated in any of the "clone" discussions, because quite frankly I don't care. I hope that he/she/it returns from the ban with a renewed perspective on life and decides to become a postive contributing member of the board..... I for one won't be cutting him/her/it any slack. Like my mother always told me, "Actions speak louder than words." Until then... *patiently holds breath in anticipation* ------------------ Let us be thankful for the fools.
