Preliminary Round Screening Test

Details of IAMM Delhi Chapter Quiz

First two meets will hold preliminary rounds. Final meet will hold semi finals and Finals.

PRELIMINARY ROUNDS

·         Four individual participants will be quizzed in preliminary rounds.

·         Four individual participants will be chosen for preliminary rounds on the basis of written questionnaire/crossword.

·         Written crosswords/questionnaire will be held during the poster session of first two meets for respective preliminary rounds.

·         Top two winners from each preliminary round will go to semi-finals.

SEMI FINALS

·         Two winners will be selected from each preliminary round to participate in semi-finals.

·         In case winners do not turn up during semi finals, wild card entry will be allowed on the basis of third questionnaire /crossword (level of questions may be raised).

·         Two winners from semi-finals will go through finals in annual chapter meet.

FINALS

·         Final round will be held between two winners of the semi-finals.

Eligibility for participation

1.          Any Post graduate student/ Junior Resident/ Senior Resident can take part in the quiz.

2.          Must be member of IAMM Delhi Chapter.

3.          Preregistration is must. NO spot registrations will be entertained.

4.          Entry for the written test is free of cost.

Question format

1.          Questionnaire/ Crossword will be having 25 questions of 1 mark each.

2.          Participants with top four high scores will be invited for participation is quiz.

3.          In case of tie of individual scores senior participant will be judged successful.

4.          The seniority will be judged by year of residency followed by date of birth.

5.          Judges/observers will be nominated by Delhi Chapter Executive committee.

Quiz format

First round

1.          Two rounds of single questions for each of the two participants.

2.          Each question carries 20 marks. No negative marking for wrong answer.

3.          Incase of non-response/wrong answer question passes to next team till right answer is given. 5 bonus marks for right answer.

Second round

1.          Fix time of 2mins.

2.          Questions will be asked in quick succession for 2mins to each team. 10 marks for right answer. 5 marks deducted for wrong answer.

Third round

1.          Final round of questions.

2.          20 marks for right answer and 20 marks deducted for wrong answer.

In case of tie, top two participants will be asked extra questions till one of them wins.

Results

Two successful winners shall be announced by the judges/observers. These participants qualify for next round.
