Plank wall trench sections with sand bags. I made the mold and poured the plastic myself.
Log walled trench sections, with sandbags. Section on right has a firing step built in.
Left is an observation bunker. Right is a machine gun bunker.
Left is a rifle bunker/pill box. Right is a D-Day machine gun bunker made of plaster.
With my style of gaming, I have one major rule. Don't use it if you're afraid of breaking it.Different size marbles are thrown at the objects on the table to simulate artillery. The larger the marble, the larger the caliber the gun being simulated.
I very often use cardboard as a material to build bunkers and buildings with. While it does not look as real as store bought items, it is much cheaper and can withstand the abuse dealt to them much better.
As you can see by having a dirt table bunkers are given that real feel because they are dug into the ground.
Some items like the trenches below I mold myself.Counter sunk into the ground they look great. Only the sandbags are at or above ground level.
