| A letter came the other day and I began to cry It told me of a soldier a boy who had to die It spoke of God and Country and how he gave his life And how he won't be coming home to children or a wife It went on about his bravery and something about a Heart But I could not continue on for mine was torn apart Yes a letter came the other day the ink on it has run For they just lost a soldier but I have lost a son |
