A Silhouette in White
As I walked across in the lawn in the early morning's light,
all these stones I saw....a silhouette in white.

Row upon row from near and  afar,
one was marked "UNKNOWN", the others with a star.

Each held a place within my heart so fondly, yet so gravely,
as I learned about their wars and how they fought so bravely.

In death they gave us life so we could still be free,
but more than that they gave....a whole wide world to see......

That the lament of a nation for it's fathers and their sons, lie in a state of rest....in this place called Arlington.
