| In the original album, the "Members In Particular" track was preceded by an audio recording of the following explanation: "God bless you. I Corinthians 12 tells us that we are all members in particular, meaning that we function together as a household and that we also have certain longsuits in which we are good at. In this song, all of the instruments in it are working together, yet they each have their own separate function. Their longsuit is represented by each of the instrument's solo performance, but they all still function in harmony together. So, here's Members In Particular" Due to time restraints in the CD because of the new version of "Rise Up and Walk" and since I now have this website to place teachings and histories behind each of these songs, I decided to cut this recording from the album. The song is a musical representation of I Corinthians 12:12 - 27. Through these verses, Paul compares the members of the household to the members of the human body. The body must work together and consider each of its members to be equal and with one accord with the head of the body, which is Jesus Christ. The instruments represent the parts mentioned. The sax and piano represent the comely parts since they are usually the most important lead roles; the bass and drum represent the uncomely parts since even though they don't have the usual lead roles, they are still just as important to the sound. More information on this section of I Corintians, as well as vital knowledge of the truth of God's Word regarding the gift of the holy spirit and the power associated with it can be found in Dr. Victor Paul Wierwille's book, "Recieving The Holy Spirit Today" (available through the Way International or on Amazon.com). |
