His Wonderful Works
Notes Page

This song was paraphrased from Psalms 107. God has shown his tremendous love for us by what He wrote for us His Word and by giving His only begotten Son so that we would be set free.

The chorus is taken from
verses 1 and 8 of Psalms 107:.
"O Give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever."
"Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!"

Here are some of the other lines taken from Psalms 107:
VERSE 1 OF SONG: (
Psalms 107:2 - 7)
"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;"
"And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south."
"They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in."
"Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them"
"Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses."
"And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation"

VERSE 2 OF SONG: (
Psalms 107:9,13-14)
"For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness."
"Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses"
"He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in sunder."

We know from God's wonderful works that we are righteous and that we have the victory.
